MURRIETA: Man accused of exposing himself to girls near school September 18, 2013 by Sarah Burge A 53-year-old Lake Elsinore man was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 18, in connection with two indecent exposure incidents near Murrieta Attorney Valley High School, authorities said. About 7 a.m., Murrieta Attorney police detectives investigating the case were conducting surveillance around the school when they noticed a car matching the description of the one used in previous incidents, a police news release said. The detectives followed the car and saw the driver commit a lewd act in public, police said. Officers stopped the car and arrested the driver, later identified as Jaime Delgado Araujo. One of the previous victims identified Araujo as the person who exposed himself to her, police said. Araujo was booked into the Southwest Detection Center in French Valley on suspicion of committing a lewd act in public, police said. His bail was set at $2,500. The first indecent exposure incident was reported Sept. 5. Police said a 15-year-old girl was walking to school near Washington Avenue and Vineyard Parkway about 7 a.m. when a man pulled up to her in a compact car. The girl said the man stared at her and was fondling himself. A similar incident was reported the morning of Sept. 12. Authorities ask that anyone with information call Detective Sergeant Phil Gomez at 951-461-6356. Follow Sarah Burge on Twitter: @sarahkburge
