A Text Size Comments ( ) On Thursday night, America will find out if Xiomara Hall has what it takes to change the way we eat food and shop. Hall, owner of Tropical BBQ in Murrieta Attorney, will appear on Lifetime Television's "Supermarket Superstar," in the BBQ sauce episode. The show intends to give undiscovered food entrepreneurs a chance to find a place with the big brands. Each one-hour episode follows three home chefs as they pitch their product concepts for the opportunity to have their creation launched nationally in a major grocery chain. Chef, vintner, TV host and specialty foods pioneer Michael Chiarello, cookie mogul Debbi Fields of Mrs. Fields Cookies, and branding expert and food product visionary Chris Cornyn serve as the series' mentors. The show, which will air at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, on Lifetime is hosted by Stacy Keibler. For Hall, it is an opportunity to put her flavor into the marketplace. "The show is for people that have these home recipes and don't have the funding to get them on the market," she said. "There are nine different episodes with nine categories and every show, someone will win $10,000 seed money and $100,000 in marketing money. That right, there is such a push for someone like me that doesn't have a lot of experience in the marketing world." If she wins in this episode, she will be in the running to win the grand prize, by battling it out with the other winners to actually have her product processed entirely and put onto the shelves of a major supermarket in the Northeast. So, any hints on how Wednesday's competition will turn out? "I can't tell you, you know that," she said. "I gave it my best, how about that? We will be having a viewing party at Wilson Creek Vineyard and Winery to celebrate, it should be a good time and I can't wait to see how it turns out." Tropical BBQ, Traditional Smokehouse & Caribbean Fusion, is located at 26684 Margarita Road, Suite 101, in Murrieta Attorney. Call (951) 698-4124 or go online to www.tropical-BBQ.com.
