MURRIETA: Man who left suspicious note at Islamic Center identified, police say September 27, 2013 by Sarah Burge CONTRIBUTED IMAGE A man has come forward to police identifying himself as the person who left an anonymous handwritten note taped to the door of the Islamic Center of Temecula Valley in Murrieta Attorney, authorities said. The note, which made reference to the militant Somali extremist group that attacked a mall in Kenya and the suicide bombing of a Christian church in Pakistan, was discovered during evening prayer Sunday, Sept. 22. Islamic Center leaders said they found the note threatening and reported it to police. Police said earlier this week that the note was suspicious and that they were investigating. Lt. Tony Conrad http://cortrightlaw.com/location/murrieta-attorney said Thursday that the note wasn't meant to alarm and that the who left it was apologetic. Police have determined the act was not criminal, he said. Follow Sarah Burge on Twitter @sarahkburge or online at blog.pe.com/crime-blotter
