The boys mother said she was shocked by the allegations, saying her son avoids others who get into trouble with the law ad has never been in legal trouble himself before. Itssad, the woman said. But my son is a good person, so we support him. The boys attorney, Miles Clark, said the boy had been accused of consensual sex with an underage girl. There are no allegations against my client that he has any charges of forcible rape, Clark said. The first boys initial hearing set for Tuesday morning at the Southwest Justice Center was initially meant to be open to the public because of restrictions in the law related to the prosecution of juveniles, Hall said. But the judge agreed to the request to close the hearing made by a family member of one of the alleged victims, Hall said. Outside the courthouse, a woman who said she was the mother of one of the alleged victims spoke angrily to media about the boy, saying he should be locked up in jail instead of going to juvenile court. The charges against the first boy include: two counts of rape by force or fear in alleged crimes against two separate victims; two counts of lewd and lascivious acts upon a child under the age of 14, involving a third victim; three counts of false imprisonment involving three additional alleged victims; and one count of dissuading a witness who is one of the alleged rape victims. That boy was ordered by a judge to remain in jail, according to Hall, who said the suspects next court date is Oct. 30.

After his father died suddenly in 1996 at the age of just 47, Dalmau took over. Then aged just 24, he recalled: For the first three years I did nothing, just looking and talking to the market and winemakers. By 1999 however, he began to implement changes in earnest, beginning with the introduction of a new, younger winemaking team. With an average age of just 28 years old, Dalmau highlighted a deliberate contrast with the long history of the estate, saying: I think its important for a winery like this to have young blood inside. Other steps saw the end of Murrieta Attorneys crianza production and the renaming of its white wine as Capellania, which like the modern Ygay Gran Reserva also now matures for a shorter time in a higher proportion of new oak. Meanwhile, 1998 saw the launch of an entirely new red wine, named Dalmau after its owner. Describing this wine as our concept of a modern style of Rioja, Dalmau told the drinks business: It was going to take many years to update Murrieta and 10 years minimum to update Ygay so I thought lets make a modern style that I could show to the market after three or four years. Controversial with the Rioja authorities for its inclusion of Cabernet Sauvignon althought as Dalmau notes, the 55-year-old vines existed before the DOC Dalmau is produced from a vineyard in the higher part of the Ygay estate. In the beginning it was a wine selection not a grape selection, admitted Dalmau.

We were firing on all three cylinders. After kicking the ball off to start the game, it took Vista Murrieta only one defensive play to gain possession when it recovered a fumble on the 32-yard line on Charter Oaks first play With a short field, the Broncos put together a seven-play drive but couldnt garner any points as they were stopped 2 yards short of the end zone on a fourth and goal try. Vista Murrieta Attorney quickly redeemed itself on its following possession when Tito Feliciano scored on the first play from 68 yards out. The Broncos took control of the contest in the second quarter, scoring five touchdowns in a variety of fashions. Darryl Denby scored the first of those taking a punt return 45 yards to the house and then Jamie Nunley caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Coltin Gerhart. The defense then got in on the scoring action when Kwesi Mashack picked off Charter Oak quarterback Kory Brown and took it 15 yards to the end zone. Gerhart scored a rushing touchdown of his own from the 1-yard line with under two minutes to play in the half, and then Denby put an exclamation point on the quarter by returning his second punt of the night for a touchdown as time expired to extend the Broncos lead to 45-0. Charter Oak opened up the second half with a successful onside kick, but saw any momentum it had halted abruptly when Vista Murrieta Attorneys Brandon Worthy intercepted a pass on the goal line and took it 100 yards back for yet another Bronco touchdown. Charter Oak got its only score of the night on the heels of a 53 yard drive early in the fourth quarter.

It's just unfortunate this happened." Though the cases are in Juvenile Court, prosecutors released the defendants' names, citing a state law allowing disclosure when the charges are deemed serious or violent. Records in the cases were not made public. One of the school's top players, senior running back Kishawn Tre Holmes, faces charges that include two counts of lewd acts with a child under 14, three counts of false imprisonment, one count of dissuading a witness and two counts of rape, Riverside County prosecutors said. Authorities said the victims were students in the district. The assaults did not take place on campus, authorities said, although Holmes is accused of falsely imprisoning two minors there. Prosecutors said Holmes tried to dissuade one victim from reporting the crime. Another player, senior defensive lineman Byron Keith Holt, has also been charged. John Hall, a district attorney spokesman, declined to disclose specifics other than saying the crimes were deemed a serious and violent felony. Holt's attorney, Miles Clark, said his client was accused of having sex with a minor.

I thought the label at Costco was interesting." On Wednesday, the laid-back pastor chatted about some of the response to his original tweet with Elisabeth Hasselbeck on "Fox & Friends." Youve had some people who are ultra-fundamentalist Christian who just say we should boycott Costco, and I dont think thats the answer," he said. "Then you have some people who are offended Thats my faith right there, thats not fiction. But then you have other people who are passionately against the Bible, and they say, You know what, it is fiction, so good for Costco.' Meanwhile, earlier this fall at Margarita Middle School, a public school in Temecula, a teacher got into hot water after telling a student that his Bible was not a work of nonfiction. The teacher, who has not been identified, had asked students to read a nonfiction book for homework, then bring the book to class. According to the Christian News Network , when the teacher saw that Jet Romans, a seventh-grader, had brought a Bible, he said, Thats not a nonfiction book. Jet said he believed it was, and the teacher (who spoke in a sharp tone according to Bob Tyler, the Christian civil rights attorney contacted by Jets parents) replied, Well, Ill get back to you. The teacher then polled other students. In a demeaning tone, according to Tyler of the Murrieta Attorney nonprofit, Advocates for Faith & Freedom, the teacher asked the class how many thought the Bible was nonfiction. All but two students raised their hands, Tyler said, giving the teacher a dose of his own medicine. In a meeting with Jets parents, said Tyler, the teacher and the school principal were very apologetic. Still, Tyler said Jet felt humiliated, has accused the teacher of bullying and has asked the Temecula Valley Unified School District to amend its anti-bullying policy to include teachers.

We also have families who make this an annual tradition," said Stavrakis. The day of giving back to the community has also become a Thanksgiving Day tradition for the Stavrakis family. Gina Stavrakis said she could not imagine spending the holiday any other way her dad raised her this way. She is now carrying on the tradition with her husband and three-year old daughter. The Stavrakis family cooks close to 40 turkeys in their restaurant. Each turkey weighs 20 pounds carved fresh for each meal served. The stuffing is homemade by the owner of Main Street Cafe in Fallbrook who also makes the gravy. It also takes more than 70 pumpkin pies to feed everyone. "This is really fun we get a lot out of it," said Stavrakis.

The pulled pork was sweet, meaty and plentiful in the sandwich my lunchmate ordered. We both enjoyed nibbling on bowls of fresh-fried potato chips dipped in a fiery condiment. What struck me most about Sammy's Rockin' Island beyond the dozen-plus images of Sammy Hagar, the 66-year-old rock star who licenses his name and image to the vaguely Hawaiian-style bar and grill concept was that I was seated at a table smack against the stage, empty in the middle of the day.
